The chart is misleading if you’re only looking at it today
There are six rooms available for next weekend. Last year at this time, there were twelve available. Or vice versa. Without sales momentum, both scenarios look like “there’s still time.” The price will remain the one you set in the winter.
What’s Calculated Automatically
Sales momentum is calculated twice a day and can be compared to last year. revPRO will suggest or adjust the price based on demand and the season. The revenue view next to it will show whether you’re falling behind—not just how many rooms are still lit up in green.
The decision is still yours to make wherever you want it to be. Automation doesn’t mean the pricing system takes on a life of its own without rules. It means the rules respond to sales, not to a sudden decision you made on Monday.
- Sales Pace Compared to Last Year
- A price that fluctuates with demand and the season
- One price list for the website, booking portals, and the front desk
- An overview before the weekend is either fully booked or empty
The worst room is the one you sold blindly
A cheap room on a peak day and an expensive room that nobody will buy are both the same mistake: you set the price without considering sales. The sales pace will tell you which of these two mistakes you’re currently making.
