What we hear when we sit down with operators
For a limited event, parallel lists often appear: the website, the front desk, a salesperson and a partner. Each one sees only their own slice of capacity.
The next problem is the definition of an occupied place. Is it an unpaid reservation, a paid ticket, an option or a block for a partner? If the system does not distinguish the states, availability lies.
Why fixing a single step is not enough
There has to be one capacity, and every sales channel must deduct from it by the same rules. Otherwise overselling is not one person's mistake. It is a property of the process.
One capacity for every channel
The event has a maximum number of places. Web sales, a manual booking and a partner block all work with the same number.
When capacity is used up, the next channel must not offer the place as free.
The booking status decides whether the place is blocked
The property decides how long an unpaid booking is held and when capacity is released. For partners, an option with a specific confirmation deadline can work.
That matters most for popular events, where you do not want to hold dozens of places without payment.
Online payment reduces the admin
The guest buys the ticket and pays online. After a successful payment they receive a confirmation or a QR code, depending on the type of event.
The front desk does not have to track by hand who sent a transfer and whose place still needs confirming.
The check at the door closes the whole cycle
A QR code or another identifier is checked at entry against the sold ticket. The property sees who has already arrived and which code was used.
For a group or a family, the way of checking can follow the product type.
WHAT CHANGES ON SITE
What changes in the daily work
- One real capacity, without parallel spreadsheets.
- A clear distinction between an option, a reservation and a paid ticket.
- Online payment and confirmation without manual work.
- A lower risk of overselling the event.
- A faster check at the door.

COMMON QUESTIONS
What operators ask us
What happens to an unpaid booking?
The property can set a rule for how long the place stays blocked and when it is released.
Can part of the capacity be held for a partner?
Yes. What matters is that the partner block also deducts from the same capacity.
Can a ticket have a QR code?
Yes. A QR code is a natural way to identify an online ticket.
Does this also fit tastings or concerts?
Yes. The principle works wherever you sell a limited capacity for a specific date.
