Operating figures can be available as they happen. A Morning Coffee report can bring the manager revenue, occupancy, a comparison with the plan and the previous period, the pace of future bookings or further indicators, according to the setup.
It does not replace the financial statements. It is a management radar that warns that sales are behind or that a cost centre is moving differently from the plan.
A number has to lead to an action
If the report shows a weaker period ahead, the hotel can react with price, a campaign, a stay package or sales activity. If it shows operational tasks that are late, the manager sees that context as well.
The point of reporting is to shorten the time between something happening in the operation and the manager reacting to it.

No. Ellipse is the operational system and it prepares or transfers data into accounting according to the specific integration and setup.
Can the posting of everything be automated?
The scope depends on the accounting system, the type of documents and the quality of the analytics setup. Automation should be introduced step by step and under control.
What is the Morning Coffee report?
A management report with selected current operating indicators, which management can receive regularly, for example in the morning.
Is an operating report the same as the financial statements?
No. An operating report is for fast management. The financial statements have their own rules and control processes.
