Prepaid Card
The family receives 100 euros for food and drinks during their stay. The bar deducts 20, the water slide 15, and at the restaurant, “charge it to the room.” By evening, neither the credit, nor the room, nor what you promised the family adds up.
One balance
The credit is added to the guest’s card. The RFID reader on the premises deducts it wherever it’s used. The front desk sees the guest’s balance, not the bar’s daily closing balance. Loyalty rewards go to the same card, so you don’t have to keep a separate “points” ledger.
When the credit runs out, the next purchase is a payment. No silent negative balance that you’ll discover upon checkout.
