It looks like it's full until you get closer
The room is marked as available because the website sold it. In an hour, the portal will sell it too, because the synchronization was delayed, or the front desk manually assigned it for the same night. You have two names on the list. There’s one bed in the room.
A conflict is a situation, not an anecdote
The calendar compares room bookings and highlights any overlaps. This isn’t a replacement for a channel manager—that’s supposed to prevent sales conflicts. It’s a safety net for when sales do overlap: a booking portal entry, a manual entry, or an extension that pushed back the next reservation.
In the morning, you can use this to reassign the room, rather than having to explain to the guest that “the system handled it that way.” The system handled it that way because two bookings were assigned to the same bed.
