The message stays at the front desk
A guest calls to say there’s no running water in the room. The front desk will tell maintenance when they see them. In the meantime, another guest checks out and the message gets lost. The manager checks room availability by phone because the occupancy report is only on one computer.
A phone that tracks operations
Ellipse Team displays the occupancy chart, tasks, and attendance for staff who are supposed to be on the floor. Each task has an assignee. Shift start and end times aren’t recorded by signing a logbook, which isn’t closed until the evening.
This doesn’t mean that everyone sees everything. It means that someone on the floor doesn’t have to wait for someone from the front desk to tell them which room to go to.
